LUNA at HbbTV conference
LUNA™ from Craftwork was the subject of a presentation at the sixth annual HbbTV Symposium in Rome. The conference drew over 250 delegates from across Europe to discuss the latest developments in the hybrid broadband broadcast television platform.
In a presentation on “An imperative approach to video user experiences using LUNA,” William Cooper of informitv presented the opportunity for the user experience engine to complement existing browser-based displays on the HbbTV platform.
Based on work done with LUNA from Craftwork, he described how it enables fast, fluid and flexible user experiences to be delivered across diverse devices and displays.
This could bring greater performance and productivity to services, particularly so-called operator apps that provide primary navigation interfaces.
Using the Mercury concept interface as an example, he showed how LUNA enables smooth animation and video transitions to bring television quality graphics to video interfaces.
